Length of the room $= 15 m$

Width of the room $= 10 m$

Length of blue tiles $= 15 cm$

Breadth of blue tiles $= 10 cm$

Length of white tiles $= 20 cm$

Breadth of white tiles $= 15 cm$

To find the number of tiles of each colour required to cover the room.

We know,

Area of a rectangle $= length \times breadth$

Therefore, we get:

Area of the room $= 15 \times 10 = 150 m^{2} = 1500000 {cm}^{2}$

Area of blue tiles $= 15 \times 10 = 150 {cm}^{2}$

Area of white tiles $= 20 \times 15 = 300 {cm}^{2}$

We know that,

Half the area of the room is to be covered with blue tiles and the other half with white tiles.

Half the area of the room $= 1500000 \div 2 = 750000 {cm}^{2}$

Number of blue tiles required to cover the half area $= \frac{750000}{150} = 5000$ tiles.
