Budding is a type of asexual reproduction in which a small part of the body of the parent organism grows out as a bud and then detaches from the mother cell and becomes a new individual. Yeast reproduces by the method of budding.

The female reproductive system consists of two ovaries that produce haploid cell called ovum or egg. It is the female gamete of the organisms. This ovum during fertilization fuses with the sperm to form zygotes.

In fertilization, the fusion of two gametes (sperm and ovum) results in the formation of zygotes. Then the zygotes undergoes development to form an embryo, i.e, an organism at an early stage of development in the uterus.
