  1. Philosophy is made up of two root words Philo and Sophia, here Philo refers to knowledge and Sophia refers to love. Hence, Philosophy is defined as a love for knowledge.

  3. Metaphysics and Epistemology are two major areas of philosophical discussion. Metaphysics is the quest for the fundamental entity, whereas Epistemology mainly deals with the nature of knowledge.
