It can be any living organism that carries a particular parasitic or infectious microorganism responsible for causing the diseases in humans and animals. The infectious agent can multiply inside the carrier's body with or without harming its host. And transfers the infectious agent directly into the body fluid.
The organisms that just carry the disease-causing microorganism and do not take part in any pathogenic life cycle. It transmits the infectious agents through physical contact with the person or by transferring it to the object which can be touched by the person.
