Electric meter: This device helps to keep track of the amount of electricity consumed by a household. Earthing: The function of the earth wire is to prevent electric shock by directing the leakage current along the path of the least resistance to earth. One end of the earth wire is connected to metallic casing of appliances and other one is connected to the ground.
