This chapter deals with the concepts related to reproduction in organisms which includes differentiation between sexual and asexual reproduction, the characteristics exhibited by the offspring, the chromosomal numbers in plants.

In this chapter, we will learn about the structure of a flower and types of pollination. We will also get to learn about pre and post-fertilization events with the different stages of meiosis and mitosis.

In this chapter, we will learn about male and female reproductive systems, embryonic development, menstrual cycles, gametogenesis and fertilization in detail through illustrations, diagrams and flowcharts.

This chapter emphasizes the importance of reproductive health. It also discussed about population explosion, birth control, sexually transmitted diseases and infertility with the help of examples and pictorial illustrations.
