This chapter deals with the different modes of nutrition. It discusses the autotrophic and heterotrophic nutrition in plants with examples. We will also study the process of photosynthesis with its conditions and requirements.

In this chapter, we will study the steps involved in the nutrition of animals including ingestion, digestion, absorption, assimilation and egestion. It details the human digestive system with the organs involved during the process and their functions.
